A Note from Fr. Dave
God’s peace be upon you!
As you probably know, Bishop Rhoades is allowing Churches to open on May 23. This is great news, as we can “come home” to our Parish!
Here are some notes:
- Bishop Rhoades has extended the dispensation from our obligation to attend Sunday Mass until August 15, 2020.
- I would encourage you not to attend Mass yet if you are over 65 years old or have a serious ailment.
- Social distancing will be encouraged throughout the Parish campus. Do not “gather” in groups, especially in the Gathering Area and parking lot.
- Masks must be worn for all over the age of 4 years old as a safety precaution.
- Need a mask? Call the Parish office 432-0268 and leave your name and phone number. We have a limited amount.
- Due to the “over-lapping” Mass times, please arrive only 5-10 minutes before Mass.
- Hand sanitizer is available inside the front doors.
- Offertory baskets are as you enter Church. We can’t “pass the basket” due to germs!
- Due to social distancing our 1,000 seat Church will hold about 300. Pews are taped off according to Diocesan guidelines.
- Every individual or family unit must sit 6 feet apart. We have white dots on the pews to show the 6 feet of separation.
- Masks can only be removed to receive Jesus in Holy Communion.
- Masses will be 35 minutes and reverent. No music due to COVID-19 guidelines. We will dismiss “pew by pew” at the end of Mass.
- We will have spray bottles of sanitizer in every pew and ask that the pew to be “sprayed down” before dismissal.

If the Church is FULL to capacity (300 persons), we will direct people to the gym as Mass will begin soon. One may pray quietly. Tape has been placed on the floor for social distancing. In the GYM we will be STANDING for Holy Mass. Bring your own folding chair, if you wish.

Please watch our Parish Website, Flocknote, and Facebook for NEW information for the weekend of May 30-31. We may adjust Mass times—we just aren’t sure until we start this!
I pray and hope all is well. I thank all for the many prayers for our Parish.
In Jesus’ love,
Mary’s care,
the Angels presence…
