Are we called to passivity?
Jesus confounded his followers with this new, radical message of non-violence.
But are we called to just sit back and be passive in the face of evil?
Why would Jesus ask us to "turn the other cheek"? Check out this quick video from Bishop Barron... you may be surprised at the true meaning of Jesus' words!
Lord Jesus, we ask you to give us
in the face of evil and violence.
Fill us with
as we resist the urge to respond with the same.
We trust in you, Jesus.
Speak to our hearts to give us the words to say in those moments and guide us to reveal your face to all we meet by the choices we make and the actions we take.
In your Holy Name, we pray,
What did you think of the video?
Do you have any examples of
turning the other cheek
that you've witnessed?
